The Joyful Joy Foundation’s theory of action is that by incorporating high-profile events, public awareness campaigns, and strategic partnerships with NGOs and governments, JJF lead programs can be presented to communities in Africa to reduce the spread of malaria and educate the general public to support the push for a malaria-free Africa. From 2012- 2014 Joyful Joy has been working in at risk communities, presenting a series of Health & Wellness workshops, which provide onsite testing for HIV & Malaria. Persons testing positive for malaria are treated with artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTs), which are the best anti-malarial drugs. All services are provided at no cost to the community members.
Through our network of professionals, corporate sponsors, and celebrity supporters, Joyful Joy has partnered with health professionals to test and treat thousands of people for malaria, provide health education, distribute bed nets, and provide sustainable access to clean water.
